Better Infrastructures has furnished some suggestion for better concrete.

• Beginning of concrete rotate the drum of the clockwise & anti-clockwise for mixing of concrete
• While casting the cubes ensure all cube moulds dimension should be proper, apply oil inside and surface of casting should be proper clean & plane.
• Sample collecting for cube’s should be taken after discharging of concrete 1/4th. Don’t cast the cube after addition of water.
• Cube casting must be done as per Indian standard manners e.g. in three layers each layer tamp 35 times by tamping road.
• If casted at site demould it after 12 hrs from casting & immerse in water as soon as possible. Before placing the concrete at the – structure formwork should proper clean.
• Don’t pile the concrete it will lead to load on shuttering and further consequences
• While concreting compaction should be done properly otherwise improper compaction can cause cracks & leakages.
• Start curing as soon as possible.
• There is variation in concrete qty .Because of voids in concrete and because of machinery tolerance (is recommended 2% variation in qty of material & also in manufacturers machinery tolerance.) so you requested to add extra qty to theoretical
